Hello parents! Tomorrow is the varsity conference race. We are in need of some parent volunteers tomorrow. We need someone at the starting line at 8:20. Drew is unsure of what the job will be. We also don’t know if it is an all day thing so we need a few people who can relieve the person before them. Perhaps we do 2 hour shifts. 8:20, 10:20, 12:20, 2:20, and 4:20. If we don’t need the later shifts based on the job then we can let those parents know. Who is available for these open slots?

Location: Hyland Lake Park Reserve
Bus Departure: 7am from the high school

9:00 am: Boys Classic
(Nick, Thomas, Aidan, Ethan)

9:45 am: Girls Classic
(Olivia, Julia, Chloe, Anne)

11:10 am: Boys Sprint Relay Qualification Round
(Jack, Gavin)

12:00 pm: Boys Sprint Relay Qualification Round
(Xander, Dyllan)

1:10 pm: Girls Sprint Relay Qualification Round
(Emelia, Grace)

2:25 pm: Boys Sprint Relay Finals (top 6 times from qualification round)

2:50 pm: Girls Sprint Relay Finals (top 6 times form qualification round)

3:30 pm: Boys Freestyle Pursuit
(Nick, Thomas, Aidan, Ethan)

4:10 pm: Girls Freestyle Pursuit
(Olivia, Julia, Chloe, Anne)

All conference is top 24 in the pursuit race and the top 6 teams in the sprint relay

Things we will need:

1. If we can get one or two other ice fishing tents that would be very helpful. We have one heater, but may need a second. We believe we will have a bus on site, but we need to be prepared.
2. We will need to have one parent volunteer who will need to be at the starting line by 8:20 am. I do not know what role they will be assigned.

Skiers will need to be prepared for a full day meet. They should have water and food with them (2 meals).

We WILL have practice today with a slight alteration: practice will run from 3 to 4:30. All athletes should be picked up by 4:30 pm

Hello parents! It was brought to my attention that we haven’t gotten together to celebrate our kids or their successes. My daughter will not be racing today, but for those interested I will be at Willy McCoy’s in Andover around 5pm tonight after the race. Feel free to visit if you are comfortable, if not, I hope to see you out on the snow! Please know that I understand and respect each family’s decision around the participation in social events. This event is not being put on by our booster club, but just one Nordic parent reaching out to others hoping to foster some relationships and talk about the joys of skiing.
